Lynyrd Skynyrd and Foreigner - August 21st, 2026
Last night my uncle and I saw Lynyrd Skynyrd and Foreigner live at the Jones Beach Theater on their Double Trouble Double Vision Tour. We got to the venue about halfway through the opener's set. They're called Six Gun Sally and they were pretty good! I liked their new song "Ain't Goin' Down" and the covers they did.
Foreigner came on around 19:15 and they kicked off their set with "Double Vision." They played through all their greatest hits like "Cold as Ice" and my personal favorite "Feels Like the First Time." They had really cool visuals on the screens behind and around them during the show, especially during the keyboard and drum solo into "Juke Box Hero." They came back on for an encore and played through "I Want to Know What Love Is" with the Greater Nassau Chorus performing with them. The ended their set with "Hot Blooded" which was awesome.
Lynyrd Skynyrd took the stage at 21:20 and after an into of Van Halen's "Panama" they launched into "Workin' for MCA." They're playing a few deeper cuts on this tour which was cool to hear like "I Need You" in addition to all their hits. They played "Sweet Home Alabama" before the stage went dark and the lights slowly came up. Then they launched right into "Free Bird" which was so cool to hear live.
