Demolition of Alvey Hall

Alvey Hall got demolished sometime around late December into January of 2021. There were mold issues with the building, and overall it was just in really bad shape. I was living in the hall next to it up until its demolition, and I took this picture of the building before everyone left for Winter Break. While I didn't return back to campus in January, I was able to return one day to move out of my residence hall. I got there after the demolition had taken place, and so I took this picture of the aftermath.

  

I visited the space again in 2025. The area has been filled in with grass and four lamp posts have been added.
