DanceDanceRevolution merch page
A collection of some DanceDanceRevolution merch items.
Here we have a few DanceDanceRevolution-branded items. Starting on the left, we have a wallet, a CD case, a lanyard with a card holder, a sunglasses case, and a cell phone holder. The camo pattern on the last two is nice. I'm not sure if there are other colors out there for these items. Likely Internet Ranking prizes.
On the topic of Internet Ranking, here's the DanceDanceRevolution cap and glove. Just holding the packages in my hands, they look way to small to fit me. But they're nice collector's items.
Next, this DanceDanceRevolution music box. I came in three flavors, and I have all three. They each play one of three licensed songs from DanceDanceRevolution (2010) on the Wii: "Hey, Soul Sister," "Bad Romance," or "Celebration." I posted about it online and from what I've learned it was an official Konami promotional item to promote the PlayStation 3 version of DanceDanceRevolution in Japan. What's interesting is that game didn't actually end up releasing in Japan, making this a promotional item for a game that doesn't exist...?
Last up, the DanceDanceRevolution DVD Game. Or so you'd think. I'm including it on this page even though it's not technically "merch" because when am I ever going to talk about this thing. I purchased this online a few years ago, and I've kept it sealed as a collector's item. Basically, it's a DVD of videos of DDR gameplay and you're supposed to step along to the beat. Problem is, the "controller" they give you is nothing more than a vinyl sheet with a DDR mat decal printed on the top. It has no electronic components and no way to plug into the TV. It's just a mat. I think the idea is you're supposed to follow along to the instructions on screen, and kinda pretend to play? It makes no sense.
